In these trying circumstances we hope you will be pleased to hear that your Committee has been exploring what might be possible to include in our 2021 Programme of Events.
Indoor meetings would appear to be inadvisable for the foreseeable future, except perhaps much later in the year. Instead it might be possible to enjoy a number of our traditional events if we concentrate on outdoors and perhaps scale these back a little to allow appropriate social distancing so that we all feel safe.
Your membership rolls over, at no further cost to cover 2021, and a membership card will be delivered to you in due course. For the moment you might like to save the following dates, and hopefully start to think of how you might like to take part.
- Plant Sale: Saturday 24th April, Woodgreen Village Hall, and mostly outdoors.
- Annual Show: Friday 16th and Saturday 17th July, Woodgreen Village Hall, and with a revised schedule to be advised.
- Open Gardens: Please reserve the following Sundays in June; 6th, 13th and 27th. To be finalised later.
- Outing: At this time we envisage going to a local garden, travelling in members’ cars. It is currently too soon to decide either location or the date, and details will be circulated when available.
All of this is, of course, subject to the COVID-19 regulations at the time. However, as gardeners we always live in hope of a great summer to come. With a little luck and some careful planning we hope to see much more of each other next year. Thank you for your continued support and please stay safe.
