Tuesday 5th December, 7.30 pm… Hale Village Hall
While it may not sound like the most exciting event in our calendar we always manage to take the opportunity to have fun.
Clearly there is a serious side to the meeting, as we draw the year to a close. The Chairman and Treasurer make their annual reports on the year’s events and the all important financial situation. Your Committee are all obliged to stand down, and new elections are held for the following year. Moreover it’s your opportunity to ask questions, pose resolutions and make suggestions. All are welcome as we take the Society forward.
The programme for the following year will be announced and dates for your new diary published.
We always try to complete the first part of the meeting expeditiously, leaving plenty of time for the lighter side:
First, your Chairman’s so called fun Quiz. Fun for him perhaps, but hopefully not too difficult either.
Second the raffle, with plenty of prizes including those puzzling plants which featured in the quiz.
Thirdly, our social evening with wine, supplied by the Society and nibbles provided by as many of you as possible, including your committee of course. An American Supper, where you are encouraged to bring a plate of food.
And finally, entertainment by ‘Chapter and Verse’, probably poking fun at the foibles and eccentricities of gardeners!
We hope you will be able to join us. Your continuing support is vital, and makes all our efforts worthwhile.
